The parallels between human and animal nature work impressively in presenting a number of social and philosophical comments, with the concept of the alpha male, bonding, the rich and the poor, dignity and the lack of it, despair and hope, friendship and betrayal being just some of the few that are examined. Where “wolf’s rain” truly thrives, however, is in terms of narrative. As the world accelerates toward its own destruction, kiba and cheza—with the help of tsume, hige, toboe, and blue—race to reach true paradise before the entire world is rendered uninhabitable.

It gets very bloody, and very sad. However, use caution when allowing children to watch this. Maybe for not having too many battles, suspense, nudes or surprises. Wolf's rain is one of the most beautiful and inspiring anime shows that i've ever saw.

It is a series that will touch the deepest part of you thanks to the natural connection that human beings have forgotten and that unites us with other. Wolf's rain is absorbing and fascinating, with interesting characters, a novel plot and brilliant music, and will undoubtedly get picked up by somebody very soon.

It’s easy to get lost in the melancholy of wolf’s rain. The animation, the characters, the story, and the music (the great music made by yokko kanno, who also made the score for very good animated shows as cowboy bebop and escaflowne) all was perfect. After months of being told to watch the anime wolf’s rain by my friends i figured i’d finally review it and i have to say from what i’ve seen the series could go anywhere.
